Jennifer Kupcho wins Meijer LPGA Classic
Simply Give's charity partner, Meijer LPGA Classic, is thrilled by Jennifer Kupcho’s win at Meijer LPGA Classic. The winner started with a poor start. She missed a 2-foot birdie putt at the first hole. However, she rebounded with birdies on nine and took the win. Kupcho's win is her second LPGA major title.
Kupcho fell three shots short of the overnight leader following an early double-bogey on her third hole. Her third shot fell in the right fairway, but she rebounded with a birdie on her par-5 eighth. Kupcho shot an impressive 71 on the final day and also made a birdie at the par-five eight hole. Maguire, who was playing in the group ahead of her, shot a 65 and made a birdie at the 18th to set a clubhouse record of 18 under par.
Nelly Korda defends title
Nelly Corda will defend her Meijer LPGA Classic championship title this weekend. The tournament has one the strongest fields of women's LPGA players. With a purse of $2.5 million, the tournament will have nine of the top ten Rolex Women's World Golf Rankings in the field. The winner will receive $375,000 for her efforts.
After a slow start to the week, Korda was an impressive performer this week. She was 18-under 198 when she putted a 22 foot eagle putt on her last hole. Her performance at Meijer LPGA Classic proved impressive, especially considering she was back on the tour four months after an injury. She will be competing against Jennifer Kupcho who just won her first LPGA Tour victory.

Kupcho won her second 2022 Meijer LPGA Classic title. After making birdies at the first and eighth holes, Kupcho defeated Nelly Korda in a playoff. The win was also her second career LPGA championship win thanks to her birdie of the second hole.
