Biney
Maame biney is an American short-track speed skater. She won bronze at the 2018 Winter Olympics' Women's Short Track event. Schmitt
Allison Schmitt, one of the USA's most decorated female athletes, has spoken about her battle with depression. After the 2012 Olympic Games, she was dropped from the national team as well as the world championships. She also struggled to cope with depression. She was even able to fall into deep depression. She was unable to compete in the 2016 Olympic trials. She became an American Olympic swimming champion thanks to her determination to return to the pool.
Vollmer
Dana Whitney Vollmer has been a five time Olympic gold medalist. She was also the former world record holder in swimming. In the 2004 Summer Olympics she won the bronze medal and set a world record. She was awarded the Olympic bronze gold medal and the Olympic bronze silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics. Joyner-Kersee
Jacqueline Joyner Kersee (USA) is a former track and field athlete. She won four Olympic gold medals, three gold, two bronze, and two silver. She is the greatest long jumper in history and an outstanding heptathlete. She won the 1984 Olympic long jump title. Joyner-Kersee also won silver in the long leap in 1996.
Evans
Aja L. Evans, a bobsledder, is an Olympic medalist for Team USA. She is also a brakeman on bobsled. She grew up in Chicago, where she was an All-American shot putter and a track & field City Champion. Evans, a University of Illinois student, won a shotput title and was an All American in track. She was an Olympic champion after she joined the 2012 bobsled teams.
Voisin
Maggie Voisin is a female athlete from the United States who is on the U.S. Olympic team this year. After suffering a fractured leg, she missed 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics. After sustaining a left ACL tear, she was unable to compete at the 2018 Winter Olympics. Voisin has been out of competition for eight year due to her injury.
Retton
In 2004, Retton was a member of the President's Council on Physical Fitness and Sports, an organization created by the U.S. government to increase physical activity and encourage Americans of all ages to participate in sports. The council is part of the United States Department of Health and Human Services' Office of Public Health and Science. Although the bill was not passed, Retton helped to end the proposal by meeting with its sponsor.
