One thing you might have noticed about professional golfers is the number of female players wearing very open clothing. Paige Spiranac is one example. She was known to wear a small skirt on the golf course before the dress codes were enforced. Male golfers were critical of this practice, accusing the LPGA and other golfers of body-shaming women. The dress code has been removed today.
Lexi Thompson
Alexis Noel Thompson, an American professional golfer, plays on the LPGA Tour. She qualified at 12 for the U.S. Women's Open. She became a professional at the age of 15. She has since qualified for several other major championships. In June 2016, she won her first LPGA title.

She became the youngest female participant in the US Women's Open at twelve years old. At 16 she was already the youngest LPGA winner. She had also won her first tournament. At just 20 years old she won several LPGA tournaments. She is also considered one of world's best-fit athletes. She practices three hours a day, plays 18 holes, has lunch and trains with a trainer. Thompson is also a volunteer for charities like the Wounded Warrior Project.
Thompson was one world's most popular players in 2015. She has had a poor year in 2021. She led by five shots at 2021's US Women's Open, but she failed to capitalize. Since then, she has won the LGPA Japan Tour as well as the Ladies European Tour. She is currently ranked 9th among the Rolex Player Rankings. She finished 17th in last spring's Lotte Championship, and 17th overall at the ANA Inspiration. She also missed out on a chance at winning her second major tournament at Avnet Classic LPGA.
Michelle Maguire
Leona Maguire became first Irishwoman on the LPGA Tour to win when she won Florida's Drive On Championship. The 27-year-old was three strokes ahead Lexi Thompson when she finished on -18. Maguire started the season with five birdies. In the final round, she tied Marina Alex. To win the title, she birdied 10th, 11th and 13th holes.
The overall outlook for 2020 was positive for the Irishwoman, although there were some low points during the first stages. She missed 16 LPGA Match-Play matches in May but bounced back to her best form this summer. Maguire attributes her success to a variety of experiences, both positive and negative, from which she has learned. Positive experiences increase confidence. Negative ones can be used as reality checks.

Maguire was also a 2017-18 WGCA All-American Scholars. This is an honorable honor given to student-athletes who have demonstrated academic and athletic excellence. Maguire is a captain and team MVP, which makes her an honorary member of the honor roll. In addition, she broke Lydia Ko's record of most weeks at the top of the World Amateur rankings. She was also named honorary recipient of the ACC Weaver-James-Corrigan Postgraduate Scholarship, which recognizes exceptional student-athletes and their intention to earn a graduate degree.
