Dominque MOceanu's memoir Off Balance - based on her life - is an intriguing read for anyone who is interested in elite gymnastics. Her parents, who are Romanian immigrants, were raised by her father, Dumitru. He was a prodigy gyrist and ruled the household with iron might. Moceanu, a ten-year-old, moved with his family to Houston, Texas. He was coached there by Bela Karaolyi, a well-known coach in gymnastics.

Hope Solo's Book

Hope Solo is a U.S. woman's soccer player whose story deserves to be told. Born to a single mother, Solo grew up separated from her convict father, who she remained distant from until she was a teenager. Hope Solo, Solo's daughter, was born to her mother, who later visited her ex-husband. Solo reconciled her father while she was a top-ranked player on the U.S. National Soccer Team.

Louis Zamperini's book

Louis Silvie Zamperini, a World War II veteran who was also an Olympic distance runner, will be captivating readers with his stories. A high school runner, Louis took up running at an early age, and eventually qualified for the 1936 Berlin Olympics. He placed eighth in his 5,000-meter race. This inspirational memoir is a must-read book for runners everywhere!
