Morgan Brian is still in high demand despite her outstanding performance at the Olympics. Ali Krieger, however, has fallen out favor. The last player to be told she made the squad, she was out injured for two years. One question mark is the goalkeeper. Ellis has been able to use three different goalkeepers so far this season. We will soon learn the truth. The other four names on the roster are still unknown.
Tierna Davidson
As the youngest player on the USWNT World Cup roster, Tierna Davidson is a great pick for this summer's tournament. The Chicago Red Stars first-round draft pick is a center back with a playmaker's mentality. Davidson was a 2017 Stanford national champion and was drafted by Chicago Red Stars that same year. Davidson is now fully trained after playing 90 minutes with the USWNT for 2018

Ali Krieger
Ali Krieger, U.S. Women's National Team defender, has been announced as part of the roster for 2019 World Cup. She has three international caps and was part of the best defensive performance for the team in 2015. The U.S. WNT's defensive line kept its opponents to three goals per game in 2015 Krieger was part of five consecutive shutouts throughout the World Cup. She played from the second game in the group stage to the semifinal match. She won two games-winning penalty kicks against Brazil in 2011, and helped the U.S. WNT to reach the final against Japan. She played in all 600 minutes of that tournament.
Carli Lloyd
It's no surprise that Carli Lloyd is on the USWNT world cup roster. The American soccer icon is the 39-yearold. She is currently the most prolific American player and the oldest member of the roster. She has helped the USWNT reach the finals of three consecutive World Cups with her goals and assists, including the 2015 tournament in France. But her career isn't over.
Tierna Mewis
Mewis made her debut in the U.S. women’s national team team in 2014. She has now been a part of 47 appearances. Mewis has scored nine goals and served as an alternate in the 2016 Olympic team. Although Mewis is young, she is a very talented player. She's an excellent choice as a USWNT midfielder, and her skills and experience will be invaluable to the team as it prepares for the World Cup.
Casey Short
It's not the most glamorous of jobs in women’s soccer, but Casey Short remains one of the most important USWNT players. She has contributed a lot to the team and earned more than many professional women's football players. Christen Press, another player, stated that Casey was "very proud of her."

Chelsea O'Hara
Chelsea O'Hara was once a winger. However, she is now a talented fullback in the USWNT. O'Hara has played in 115 matches for the USWNT, from U-16s to the senior team since 2004. She has also scored 37 goals in the national team. O'Hara only played two minutes for the Utah Royals FC this season. She has World Cup experience, as she was an integral part of the team's 2015 championship run.
