CME Expands Its Sponsorship of the LPGA

CME sponsored LPGA events in the past. CME Group Titleholders is the most recent sponsorship. Shanshan Feng was the winner of the event. The LPGA sponsoring agreement with the company dates back nearly 20 years. The company has become a popular sponsor of golf events, and it is looking to expand its footprint even further.

Race to the CME Globe

CME Group Tour Championship is changing their name. It will now go by the Race to the CME Globe Championship. First place receives $2.5 million. The CME Group, based in Chicago, is sponsoring the event through 2023.

Tiburon Golf Club

The Tiburon Golf Club, home to the LPGA CME Group Tour Championship, is a great place to watch a professional golf tournament. The tournament will take place in 2022 on the Tiburon Golf Club's Gold Course. CME Group Tour Championship is the season's final event on the LPGA Tour. It is one of the top events on the women’s pro golf tour. This event will be televised live by NBC Sunday and Golf Channel.

Jin Young Ko

Rolex World Rankings number 1 is Jin Young Ko. Jin Young Ko has won six her last eleven LPGA starts. Jin Young Ko was plagued by injuries and travel problems in the first half. In March, she lost her grandmother which also affected her game. However, she has shown remarkable consistency this season. She has nine top-10 finishes in 10 starts, with five victories in second half.


Yuka Saso

Yuka So finished 29th in the 2nd round of the 2021 LPGA CME Group Tour Championship. Saso played a strong round in the first round, but struggled to deal with the difficult conditions.

Natalie Gulbis

CME Group Tour Championships can be enjoyed by all levels of golfers. This event is also great for LPGA rookies. Gulbis participated in a 2015 pro-am tournament and was awarded for her efforts. In return, she was invited to compete in the CME Group Tour Championship. The invitation was a thank you for Gulbis' contribution to the development of the event.

Shanshan Feng is China's first woman to win an LPGA Tour tournament. She is now in fifth place in overall rankings and has won two major championships. She has also won more than $4 million in her career. Feng is one the most exciting players on LPGA Tour.
