Three changes are made in the women’s ufc ranking this week. Jessica Eye moves up eight spots to take the top spot at women’s flyweight. Nina Ansaroff rises two spots to number 2, featherweight. Sergei Pavlovich moves up two spots to number 5.

Jessica Eye moved eight places to become the number one female flyweight contender

Jessica Eye is in the middle of a huge career comeback. The number one contender in UFC flyweight is Jessica Eye. She will be taking on Cynthia Calvillo this weekend at the APEX Center. Eye has overcome a lot in her life, from an abusive father to a terrible accident when she was a teenager, but has never wavered in her commitment to her craft. It's obvious that she's well-prepared for her biggest fight yet.

Eye's win in UFC 238 elevated her to number one for women's flyweight. Her victory over Joanne Calderwood, a veteran fighter, was the main reason she rose to number 1. She spoke with the media backstage after the fight and explained why she believed she should be number one. She feels that she has both the skills and experience to compete at 125 pounds. In her four last fights, she has had four takedowns.

Nina Ansaroff jumped two spots to become number two in the women's featherweight category.

After losing her first two UFC fights in a controversial fashion, Nina Ansaroff is back on a four-fight winning streak. American Top Team member, Nina Ansaroff will face Tatiana Suarez in a strawweight bout. This fight is expected to be a major move. Ansaroff, who has won four consecutive fights will attempt to be the first female to fight in the co-main event at a UFC event.

Holly Holm is without a title the most prominent female fighter in women's featherweight. Although she was a strong striker, she could not find the right formula to success at 145 lbs. Yana Kunitskaya fell to Cris Cborg last year but won Invicta FC the bantamweight title. In addition to that, she was also defeated by Raquel Pa'aluhi in 2017 and is now the number two contender at women's featherweight.

Sergei Pavlovich is now number five

After a win over Magomed Ankalaev at UFC 277, Sergei Pavlovich moves up a few spots in the women's UFC rankings. UFC takes many factors into consideration when determining rankings. These include wins and loses, quality of competition, frequency of fights, and how often they are done. Below are the most recent rankings.

Pavlovich is a four-time winner of the UFC since she lost her debut to Alistair Overeem back in 2004. Her most notable knockout came against Derrick Lewis at UFC 277, when she had Lewis badly injured and would have finished him in the second round.

Jessica Eye jumps eight spots to number 1 at women’s flyweight

A former title contender, Jessica Eye has been able to take advantage of her move down to flyweight to take on a number of top contenders. Last year she fell to Shevchenko in the co-main event of UFC 238 via a vicious head kick. Eye has moved up eight ranks in the rankings since then and has won three straight fights. Cynthia Calvillo is her opponent. She has struggled to put on weight at just 115lbs.

Eye has overcome many obstacles in her journey to this point. Eye has suffered a variety of injuries and even lost her father young. She was also forced to miss several fights due to a blood clot behind her knee. After overcoming these setbacks, she proved that she was capable of defeating the top flyweights throughout the world.
