Cheyenne Parker, an American professional basketball athlete, is one the most recognized faces in WNBA. She is currently an active member of the Chicago Sky. She was drafted 5th by the team. She has also had offseasons spent playing for teams in China Poland, South Korea and Poland. Parker was also named the top female athlete in the World Basketball Association in 2017.

Nneka Ogwumike

There are many nicknames for the most well-known girl basketball player in history, including "Fearless". Although she was not a natural athlete, she persevered. She was "frightened" to play basketball in grade school, and she didn't have much skill. Nneka has become a "powerhouse" basketball player who is extremely resilient and strong. Katie Douglas

American professional basketball player Katie Douglas is one of the most famous American girl basketball players. She played small forward and shooting guard. She was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on May 7, 1979. She attended Perry Meridian High School and the Purdue University, where she played from 1997 to 2001. She was drafted by the Orlando Miracle into the WNBA in 2001. Later, she retired from playing in 2014.

Lisa Leslie

Lisa Leslie is one of the most well-known female professional athletes. She was born in 1972. She is the daughter of a semiprofessional basketball player and truck driver. She was only four months old when her father died. Leslie attended Morningside High School and moved with her family to Inglewood. Her basketball career flourished while she was there. After graduating, she signed with the Los Angeles Sparks.

Seimone Augustus

Aside from her career in the WNBA, Seimone Augustus is one of the most well-known athletes of the black ethnicity. Fans and media love her dedication and courage. Seimone started playing basketball as a child. She was so proficient at the sport that she appeared in an article in Sports Illustrated for Women. Seimone has also won several national championships. She is 6 feet tall and has brown hair.

Kaila Charles

Kaila Charles, Maryland's star football player, hails from Glenn Dale. She attended Eleanor Roosevelt High School in Greenbelt and was on the state championship team twice. As a sophomore and junior, Charles earned Washington Post All-Metro honors. Charles was awarded his Eleanor Roosevelt diploma and transferred to Riverdale Baptist School at Upper Marlboro in Maryland. Charles received All-American honors as well as McDonald's All-American honors.

Brittney Griner

US female basketball star Brittney Griner was arrested on Friday after a court in Russia found her guilty of smuggling drugs. She was sentenced at the age of nine to prison with a fine totaling one million roubles. The case marks a new low in relations between the US and Russia. Joe Biden of the USA is demanding Griner's freedom. Her family has not seen her since she was taken away from Russia while she was on vacation.
