While there were rumors of expansion, no concrete plans have been made. It is likely that the league will stay as it is. Real Salt Lake and Indy Eleven both expressed interest in joining, along with three men's teams out of California. Although the league is open to new teams for 2016, no expansion plans were made.

Its players association

The Players Association is a New York-based recording studio group. Chris Hills was previously a member of The Grateful Dead's fusion group. Their debut album on Vanguard Records in 1977 was a cult classic. Their sound was both raw, yet sophisticated. They emphasized the beauty and complexity of everyday life and the complexity of human nature. Their songs were extremely influential, but they had their share of controversy.

The Ultimate Breakaway Weekend was hosted by The Players Association in support of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Olympic athletes Lance Armstrong, the United States Women's National Team, and Sheryl Crow joined them at Mandalay Bay Resort, Las Vegas. Anthony LaPaglia and Anthony LaPaglia also joined the Players Association for an exhibition featuring area youth soccer players from the University of Nevada. The Players Association supported the players by holding a benefit concert and a benefit concert at the American Cancer Society and Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
