Carlton Woods hosts lpga's new major

The Chevron Tournament, the LPGA's newest major championship, will be played at Carlton Woods. The tournament will be played at The Club of Carlton Woods Jack Nicklaus Signature Course. This tournament is part a 5-year agreement, which will also see it televised live via NBC Sports.

The course opened for play in 2001 and is known for its undulating greens protected by bunkers. It hosted the U.S. Amateur in 2014. Will Zalatoris won the Junior Amateur. It hosted the qualifying rounds to the U.S. Open, and LPGA Tour events. It also hosted the Mission Hills final edition in Rancho Miro California where Jennifer Kupcho won the title.

Carlton Woods has a strong junior golf programme

Carlton Woods has a strong junior golf programme. In the past, Tiger Woods and Rickie fowler participated in the HP Boys Championship. This invitation-only tournament also raises money to support junior golfers. In the past three years, the HP Boys Championship has donated over $44,000 to local schools, charities, and an AJGA ACE Grant. Last year, AJGA presented awards for media coverage and charitable donations.

Carlton Woods is a top-tier golf resort and the host of the 2014 U.S. Junior Amateur. This championship will take place at the Jack Nicklaus Signature Golf Course at the club. It has deep bunkering, water hazards and contoured holes. The course is also an Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, and has been recertified each year since 2003. The club's junior program is a hit with amateur and novice golfers alike.

Louise Suggs started the LPGA
