Jill Ellis is a USSF Pro coach and has been a coach for over 20 years. At a young age she played soccer at Robinson Secondary School in Fairfax. She later went on to win the state championship and the Under-21 Championship with her local team, the Braddock Road Bluebelles. She also played college soccer at William and Mary University and was named an All-American. Ellis was a player in her twenties but earned accolades as a coach.
Ellis has extensive experience as a coach and in sports management. Ellis has held various leadership positions, including the role of Development Director at the United States Soccer Federation. She also served as an assistant coach for the U.S. women's national team and coached women's youth teams. Ellis was the interim head coach of women's senior national team. She was an interim coach for 2 matches in 2014 and holds a USSF Pro coaching certificate.
