Hope Solo, U.S. Women's Soccer's goalie, said she made a "horrible mistake" when she climbed into a van to go with her husband Jerramy, during training camp. The incident led to Stevens' arrest for driving under the influence, while Solo was suspended for a month. She was freed from domestic violence charges less than a fortnight before the incident.

Hope Solo was born February 25, 1982. She played for the United States women's national soccer team from 2000 to 2016. Solo is a twotime Olympic gold medalist as well as a World Cup winner. Solo is one of the most respected goalkeepers in history.

But her success in soccer wasn't without its difficulties. Her personal life was turbulent and she was involved into numerous fights and disputes. She was suspended for six month and then had her contract terminated. She apologised for her actions, and filed a grievance claiming that she was unfairly terminated. She also confessed that she had miscarried in her pregnancy with twins. Jerramy, her husband, had twins Lozen und Vittorio.

Briana Scurry

Briana Scurry is an ex-American soccer goalkeeper. She is now the assistant coach for Washington Spirit. She played for the United States' women's national soccer team and was a leading goalkeeper during both the 1995 World Cup, as well the 1996 Summer Olympics. She represented the United States at 2004 Summer Olympics.

Naeher was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on April 20, 1988. Naeher, a United States woman's soccer player, made her debut with the team in December 2014. She made her debut during the 7-0 victory over Argentina at the International Tournament of Brazil. Naeher is a key player in the team’s success and has become one of the top women's goalkeepers.

Megan Rapinoe

Megan Rapinoe was the United States' 2019 Women's World Cup winner and won the Golden Ball, as well the Golden Boot. She is also feminist who has been fighting to equal pay and being a strong advocate for women's soccer. For the changes she's witnessed in the game, she credits her Seattle Reign coaches Lisa Harvey, and Jill Andonovski.

Rapinoe has not been denied the sport because of her controversial sexuality. But her popularity has enabled her to fight for equal rights for female players. She was a vocal supporter of the LGBTQ community. In fact, she was one the first white athletes in the country to kneel during the national song. This act inspired Colin Kaepernick’s protests against racism in American sport. Rapinoe also participated in a lawsuit against US Soccer Federation for gender discrimination. The case was settled in 2021.

Jerramy Stevens

Jerramy, the US women's goalie for soccer, was arrested on suspicion that she assaulted Hope Solo. The two were set to get married the day before the altercation. Police say Stevens was detained on Monday for fourth-degree assault. A judge however ruled that there was not enough evidence to bring charges. Prosecutors can still file charges later if there is more evidence.

Hope Solo is alarmed at Stevens’ arrest. Stevens, who was the captain of the U.S. Women's Soccer team and a former NFL tighten, is believed to have had an argument in 2014 with Stevens. Stevens was arrested. However, the charges were dropped. The couple have been married for over ten years and are expecting twins in March 2020.
